I like Sapi, although a lot of it is covered in Jesse thicket.

I hunted in Sapi in 2008 for tuskless and buf. Camped right on the river in a tent, heard lions every night, can hear the hippos all the time particularly at night. No villages, did some fishing. Great experience. From reading some of the reports things may have changed though.

Aren't these auction areas as opposed to concessions?

Zephyr - In the past couple of years, the abuse committed against the wildlife in Nyakasanga has been a HUGE travesty! The systematic slaughter of the Lion, buffalo and elephant within the confines of this previously AWESOME area, by an unscrupulous wildlife dept/poor outfitters, has been a shame.

Personally, I would stay far away!
