I don't think that there will be a travel ban.

Question for all: If the diplomatic staff of your home counrty was expelled, would you still go to Zim?

I've been twice since the craziness, but not having the 'safety rope' of a staffed emabassy would get me closer to not going than anything yet. What level of staffing would remain at the embassy? Would it just be the Ambasador expelled and normal operations would contiue?

I'd go. IF (and that's a BIG IF)my PH said come and I trusted him. Those countries have very porous borders and if you need to get out, you could do it fairly easy, unlike say, the old Iron Curtain. Besides all diplomatic immunity gets you now is a bigger target on your back. Hell when you reflect on it, every single one of those countries is a MAU MAU uprising waiting to happen. So unless the place was in full-blown chaos I would go. jorge

I would not worry about hunting however I would go with the idea that no trophies would make it home with me. There are some good deals in Zim right now for PAC hunts and such. Take advantage of them while you can.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! I would go.

You can also safely go on vacation in North Korea. You just have to join a tour group in Beijing. And take your own food with you.

If you stay out of internal politics and of course (land aquisition issues) then it is just fine to visit.

In fact you are proberbly very welcome especially when you bring in nice crisp notes of the folding variety, especially United States Dollars in particular. Rands are also quite nice

Have a wonderful trip

Cheers, Peter

Starvation and near starvation are commonplace in the communist utopia of N Korea. That is why you would take your own food, so you'll have some to eat.
