As I mentioned in an earlier post, I had a great time trying out a Reconyx trail camera in Tanzania. As you recall, this thing takes rapid-fire pics in the day or night and is completely undetectable to anything near it. For leopard and lion, this thing is a lot of fun.
We set up 4 leopard baits near where we had seen large leopard tracks (2 1/4") using a zebra my son shot early in the hunt. We wanted to get after a leopard right away since young wart hogs and baby impala were about to be on the scene, making a bait we might put up less appealing as September wore on.
After finding one of the baits hit, I brought out my camera that I had been looking forward to trying in Africa. We left it overnight and came back the next morning. It was full of pics.
What we were able to determine is exactly when the leopard was feeding, how big he was, how often he fed, how long he fed, ect. Here's the first pic we got as he leaped up into the tree:

He fed for 31 minutes 52 seconds and then came down.

At 9:22 he came back and fed for 8 minutes:

At 12:55AM he was back and fed for 4 minutes:

At 4:20 he was back and fed for 24 minutes:

That was it until we showed up around mid-morning and checked the camera. We then knew what was there and had high hopes he'd show up that afternoon. He showed up at twilight and fed. As you'll see, I also adjusted the aim of the camera.

I know this is probably more detail than you'd normally see on such a post, but I thought you might like to see how this camera gives you a lot of info you couldn't ordinarily get. Anyway, it was fun to see that it worked over there as well as I had hoped.
As for the leopard, I ended up shooting him. Here's a more conventional pic of my first Mr. Spots!

Nice shots.

I like my game cammera. It does basically the same thing as yours. I collect, the time, temp, moon with each shot. It uses primative NV Gen 1 with IR flash that doesn't bother the animal.

I have some pretty good shots of baby deer, coons, possum, rabits and such.
