cchunter kindly sent a copy of his new DVD to me to try out with our machines 'down-under'.

A hearty hunt in South Africa from our own Christer, known as the "Big Viking", lots of plains game and set out in a new way (from those I have seen). The videography is professional and everything flows well. Presentation and packaging is as good as the best. If at the end of the DVD you wish you were there on safari with them, then I think the film has done its job well.

A good "first" production, one of many more to come is my guess.

I've been trying to interest Christer in a water buffalo. But are water buffalo just too big for the "Big Viking"? Wink Can he toss on them into the back of the 'cruiser single handed? Big Grin

Cheers.

PS Good icon you found too thumb.

I agree I reviewed two formats (one didn't work which is why I tried two) very good if fact better than good considering it was a first endevor. Sponsers handled in a very professional maner they had exposure but not the center of attention. Man this dude is BIG! beer

Yes I thought the presentation of sponsors was also very good. A listing of sponsors at the beginning, use of their products during the movie and then a presentation of the products towards the end. I think this is much better than long advertisements in the movie unless it is relevant to the story line.

I particularly liked the use of the African Hunter Shot Placement Guide. Showing how the pocket sized booklet can be used in the field. They aren't expensive compared to a total safari cost, nor to even a cheaper trophy fee and if one shoots better they are well worth it.

Christer,

We will try to find a really big water buffalo for you. One that looks like a "Big Viking" Smiler wearing a 'horned hat'. Maybe a scrub bull and a banteng too. Wink

Plus some sundry piggies.

Christer, your DVD is great. My children loved it and sometimes they would run to the TVset to get a better look.
The pace is good, the soundtrack great, and the info is great if you want to explain how plainsgame hunting in africa is done to someone who is not initiated.

Congratulations!
