Looking at the Lake Natron area in Tanz. Who hunts there now?

TGT, I spent in the Natron, Mt Gelai and Sadi Camps hunting, Fantastic area.

Michel Mantheakis has an area as well.

Watched a video were Giant grants were hunted and I mean giant!! Wengert Windrose Safari

Yep.

Hunted there a few years back, and had an absolutely great time.

My host and I looked over and passed up many very good Grants and both shot fantastic Grants around the "Mexican Hat" between the Natron camp and the lake shore. Without any doubt a very beautiful area with an abundance of diversified game.

Kilombero North Safaris has one of the very best PG Area there.

There are 4 blocks emanating from the original Lake Natron Game Controlled Area:

Lake Natron West GCA - Leased and operated by Michel Mantheakis.

Lake Natron South GCA - Leased and operated by Kilombero North Safaris

Lake Natron North-South GCA - Leased and operated by Wengert Windrose Safaris (Affiliated to TGTS)

Lake Natron North - currently vacant as operator (Green Mile safaris owned by the Abu Dhabi Royal family) is under suspension for gross misconduct and hunting infringements.

All are good blocks but those with access to the lake shore have some advantage. North-South has the better buffalo.

Going there next. Will hunt with Michel. Recognize situation on buffalo, and that's a big issue for me, but need to take the wife on a safari she will enjoy, and she will enjoy this.

I will be trying to find a Robert's in that area in about 2 weeks myself.

I am doing my hunt through Adam Clements, but he purchased the quota from someone else, I am not quite sure who at this point.

Michel has the only block in Natron region with Roberts. Adam hunts through Bushman Safaris in Maswa and has Roberts there

Yes and no. They are on quota, but I don't think anyone has shot one there in a couple years.

I was there last year. We didn't see either Grant's or Roberts.

No dice.

I think TGT's block in Maswa has more of them.

I am doing this through Adam as a couple days before we go to the Selous. Going to also try to get a Gerenuk as well- but I don't think its the same concession- both of them are deals with other operators, I just don't know who specifically. Must be Mantheakis if they have the Robert's, or else I misunderstood about it being Lake Natron.
