Paul,

I have received the fantastic painting you and all the other members have kindly sent.

That was an extremely kind gesture from you all, and I deeply appreciate it.

I will have it on the wall of my trophy room.

I was looking at while holding my little daughter Hessa, and she kept saying "Ooooh! OoooH" which is her favorite way of saying "I like it!"

Again, thank you all very, very much.

Saeed,

It was the least we could do as a way of thanking you for putting all the time and effort into providing accuratereloading to all of us.

Please don't give me credit for the effort, it was one of the members who suggested getting a gift for you. The original idea was a custom rifle, but due to legal issues shipping etal, we decided on commissioning a custom art work. Since Troy is a wonderful artist and hunter, he was a natural choice. It just snowballed from there, and now 1 1/2 years later, you finally have the work.

To all of those who contributed, thanks again, and your copies of the prints are available. If anyone else is interested in a print, contact Troy. http://www.thehunterslife.com/ADAMSART.htm

Paul,

Your name was the one one I got when I asked Don about the painting.

My thanks to everyone who was kind enough to contribute towards the painting.

This is a very generous act, and I do appreciate it very much.

Saeed, you are most welcome. It was a very small gesture that does not compare to your generosity, commitment and tolerance in establishing and operating this site.

Best wishes.

As I keep getting, how do I get my prints questions, here is a little more info. If you go here http://www.thehunterslife.com/TA/TROY_ADAMS_WILDLIFE_ART_GALLERY_WHATS_NEW.htm

You can look at the africa page to see some photos of the print. The print has 5 scenes, with the cape buff in the center. Perhaps we could persuade Saeed to post a picture of the full print.

To order a copy, go to Troy's contact page for his e-mail address. As I recall, and this was at the beginning of the year, we figured for those that contributed to the artwork, $5 would cover shipping in the US, international members will have to work with Troy to figure out what your costs will be.

For those who didn't contribute, there are additional prints available, for, as I recall $20 shipping included in the US, more for international.

Troy's single animal prints run $35 plus shipping, so this is a real bargain on an outstanding artwork.

Troy practically did the artwork for free, so the sale of the prints will properly compensate him for the work. It's also sort of another chance for anyone else who is interested to chip in.

First off I'm very pleased and relieved to hear Saeed recieved the artwork intact. Whew, that's a long way over there from here in Montana. I'm also very pleased to hear my work met his daughter's approval! Glad to hear Saeed like's the work as well.

Second, thank you to all of you that donated and waited patiently for me to get the work completed. It was quite time consuming, but I hope you all feel the wait was worth it.

Lastly, Paul's price quotes are correct. If you donated the print is only the cost of shipping which is $5.00. If you did not donate the cost is $20.00. These prices are to US residents. Anyone outside the US the price will vary according to shipping costs. I haven't been able to get a good picture or scan of the drawing. (It's too big for the scanner) The best thing I have is this digital photo and it makes the background appear dark when in fact it is white. However it will give you some idea of what the print looks like. I've included a couple close up details of the drawing that I was able to scan. This should help give a clearer picture of what to expect.

Again thanks to everyone and an extra special thank you to Saeed for this site!!!!!

Would also like to thank Paul for haveing the foresight to set this in motion and to entice such an artist as Troy do do the work. Contributing was easy.

The orders are starting to trickle in. I recieved a few checks/orders today and they will go out in the mail first thing Monday morning. Thank you to all that have ordered so far. There were many that donated so please don't hesitate to send me $5.00 bucks to cover the cost of shipping you a print. It really doesn't get any cheaper.

For those that are interested a hand colored version can also be requested. It is an additonal $30.00. I have to do these individually by hand, hence the additional cost, but they sure look nice. So if you donated, your cost for a color print would be $35.00. If you didn't donate the cost is $50.00 (the latter includes shipping.) Here is a digital photo of the colored version. Again I apologize for the poor quality of the photo. The background in reality is white not this brownish color the camera makes up.

I'm glad to see so many of you are pleased. I also hope more of you will continue to make comments so this thread keeps getting bounced back to the top for everyone to see. I think it is important to keep this thread alive so all those that did contribute or those that want a print won't miss out.

Very nice work Troy! I would like to get a copy of the print. Is $5.00 enough for the shipping to Canada?

Paul, it turned out great. Thanks for doing all the hard work and making it happen. [Smile]

It was nuthin really [Wink]

The way I fealt about it was, it was something that had to be done. I knew it would take some time and effort, but didn't expect 1 1/2 years.

I'll make sure if someone else suggests a similar thing that I'll nominate you to run it [Big Grin]

As far as I know, it did come as a total suprise to Saeed. That was the biggest challenge in all it, not running it on all the forums to let folks know about it.

More thanks should go to Troy, if he hadn't offered to take on the project, and then at a highly reduced fee due to initial challenges in support, it never would have happened.

My main request would be that the members who would like to thank Saeed, and didn't make it in initially, would order a print from Troy.

I received in the mail yesterday my copy (#21 of 300). Let me say that it is very nice. I am having a frame made and it will hang on the wall in my office and remind me of a future trip to Africa.

Big Sky: I think that you are losing money on the shipping. Postage alone was $4.49 and the shipping cardboard and preparation are worth much more than $0.51.

For anyone considering buying a copy of this work, $20.00 is a real steal.
