Rhys,

Very very nice thumb
How much did the kudu measure 52-53" ?
That gemsbuck also a nice one.

And your barrel on the rifle how long is it ? Interesting

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

Kudu was 51, with 12 inch bases

Gemsbok was 40.5 with 8 inch bases

the rifle barrel is 30"

ALP we saw baboons on 3 seperate occasions, I shot the first one as he had chased everything off from the waterhole we were sitting over and Jan said kill the bastard so as he was running straight away looking back over his shoulder I introduced him to my 375. I didn't shoot on any of the others as the friend I was hunting with wanted to get a boboon but never was able to connect.

Bloody nice Gemsbok bull! Congratulations.

Never met a PH or farmer who doesn't hate baboons, I must of shot 40 of the mongrels in Zim in 98 Big Grin

Verbera!, Iugula!, Iugula!!!

Wonderful gemsbok, and great pose! I have a picture of a jackal similar to yours. The one side is perfect, and there is no other side; the 375 with AccuBonds appears to be a bit much for predators Smiler

Notice the gemsbok's horn's mass through the whole horn... you will seldom find that on a Kalahari bull... they seem to go small just an inch or so above the base. This gemsbok's mass is real nice! Congrats!

Good shooting Rhys! Your kudu could be a brother to the one I shot with Jan when I hunted there many years ago. Nice ivory tips on him.

Your gemsbok is really exceptional, what a beauty! All the gemsbok I saw when I was with Jan had good mass like yours. The area is quite favorable to produce big gemsbok.

Looking forward to seeing the zebra!
