I found this pic on the BBC site. Has anyone seen the program?

CWW, I saw this program about 2 years ago. If I recall it was an isolated occurance they said in an area with severe drought and low game populations. I believe the show sais only 2 or 3 were taken at this watering hole.

Yes i seen the show. It was totally amazing to see lions take an elephant down! Its a phenomena that occurs only in that specific area (somewhere in Botswana i think?)and only during the dry season when the elephants are forced to drink in a specific area. I will try and find the name of the show for you and post it later.

It was on TV in the UK last night. Incredible footage of a pride of 30 lions. The documentary said that the pride had specialised in taking elephant. They did seem to have the technique pretty well sorted out.
