My hunting partner and I are headed to the Malapati region of Zimbabwe to hunt buffalo in August. Just curious about the plains game opportunity in the area if anyone has been there? We are hoping to take a few in addition to the buffalo. Thanks

seen some nice kudu bulls, zebras, nyalas, duikers and great waterbucks. Ever present warthogs and impalas. Saw bunch of African wild dogs. Nixon said there is some sable there.
That place is a buffalo Shangri'la for sure. You gonna love it gents.

When i was there last year we saw plenty of plains game. Its brush country and plenty thick which makes hunting plains game a little tougher.

As far as Buffalo Shangri'la. I agree!

I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

My clients have seen very good nyala, waterbuck and kudu in Malapati. Do not go there looking specifically for a sable.

Thanks to everyone that replied. Any of the trophies mentioned would be a bonus to our hunt! We will post pictures and narrative when we return. T&Me
