As in years past, I had a great time at the Dallas Safari Club Convention. I got to see the charter and new members of the Double Rifle Shooters Society while I was there. PWN375 and his brother drove down from Oklahoma, fla3006 and Hog Killer drove up from Huntsville. Hog Killer brought his 458 Lott project! A very nice rifle, sorry I forgot to take a picture of it. Friday evening's festivities began up in Judge G's room with a goodly amount of rag'n Ray on the occasion of his 105th (70) birthday. JudgeG served as Master of Ceremonies. We all chipped in and bought Ray a present he could really use at his age. [image] Mineral oil! Also presented to Ray was a gift certificate for a year's supply of Depends! Retriever, and Judge brought sausage and bread to snack on and there was plenty of whisky for all. After presenting Ray his present, the gang jumped into a stretch limo for the ride to Pappadeaux for dinner. A wonderful time was had by all. I think that JudgeG was possibly over served, however it may have been just a vicious rumor! I will post another thread with some pictures at the convention. Rusty We Band of Brothers! Hey, that looked like fun! I really wanted to be there this year but work was too busy to get away. I was on call until Friday and as it turned out the week was very busy with a who-done-it homicide that I will be working on for a while yet. Hopefully I can make it for Ray's 110 year B-Day party next year! ~Ann | |||

Ann, Both Judge G, and Ray paid good money for those not to be published. 400 NitroExpress brought his wife Nory along. He told us that she made him promise not to do his usual table dance routine!
