Looking into a hunt for the next couple of years and have narrowed the options down to these two countries. Game to include buffalo, leopard, croc, hippo and assorted plains game.
I'm thinking of using Leopard Ridge Safaris in Zambia or HHK in Zim. Areas would be Nyampala and possibly the Bangwelu swamps in Zambia, and Omay plus Lemco in Zim.
Anyone here have experience in these areas? How about trophy quality, one place vs the other?

zim will be cheaper, if its there. For your list i'd think more of the north lugawna than the bangwelu. I don't think you'd need to go to the omay, everything you have listed in in lemco. Problem being the time frame. At this moment I wouldn't be afraid to book into zim, but I would not be doing it for next year, until next year. With the way good old uncle bob is going (alowng with his henchmen) i view zim as a day for day process. You'll have to check on bring back a croc from zambia, last time i was ther you couldn't do it. Hippos in the lugwana can be huge.(I took at 30" there) and crocs will probably be a couple feet bigger than zim. cost wise I think you'll spend about 8-10 more in zambia.

There's no Hippo or Croc at Lemco that I know of, and it is legal to import crocs from Zambia.

If money is not a consideration, Zambia would be my pick. Nyampala is one of the premier concessions in Zambia. You can do all of your dangerous game and plains game hunting in Nyampala. The Omay wouldn't be my first choice in Zimbabwe and Lemco, although very nice, is game ranch style hunting.
