Grateful for suggestions about an outfitter for a buffalo hunt in Namibia. Believe the Caprivi might provide more of a "wild" experience than Waterberg.
Hunting friend has a son ready to fund the hunt, but has been looking at APNR along Kruger Park. Namibia might do better.

Regards, Tim

Try talking to Karl at Ndumo Safaris. He is on AR.

+1 on Jamy Traut. They just got a new area in Caprivi. Talked with Jamy at Dallas and sounded like a great hunt. I think he will be in Nashville.

I hunted with Jamy in Waterburg. Fantastic trip.

Heard many a good thing about Traut. Then again Karl is an AR member.

Another vote for Karl. My son & grandson both got Buffalo with Karl last July, & a leopard for me. Third time with Karl & nothing but positive experiences. I’m getting old, but would like to think I’ll make it four before I get in my rocking chair.

Jamy Traut is very good. A very fussy client of mine said that Jamy ran the most professional camp he'd ever been in.

The Waterburg is certainly not wilderness.

When I hunted there in 2019 the hunting consisted of driving from bore hole/salt block to bore hole /salt block to see what was hanging around. At all the bore holes there were buildings and the debris of human habitation. And, some of the buffalo had ear tags!

Nice camp and big buffalo, but not a wilderness experience.

The next time I try buffalo in Namibia I think I'll try Dawid Muller at Daggaboy Safaris. He has a small conservancy in the Caprivi and specializes in buff.
