Bob KeelerWhat is on your shopping list at SCI?
Just passing the time away today on my day off putting off my household duties of laundry then dishes that my wife has me lined out to do and I was just curious what is on others shopping list this year at SCI? My wife claims she is going to keep me on a very short leash this year and not let me get away with anything unless she okays it. Last year I bucked pretty hard with her rules and finally got away. She sent my daughter to monitor me who did pretty well in her duties until we went thru a bucket full of beers then we were off--- shopping for hunts--- fun we did have!!
Hope those that are going have a safe trip and bucket full of fun.

LittleJoeI am hoping to put the finishing touches on a Cape Buff hunt. Done two plains game safaris and cannot go back without pursuing buff. Several people I want to visit with and hopeful to seal the deal while there.

Tim FerrallBribery is the order of the day. Planning to take my wife to see one of the jewelers to get my lioness bones set in gold, with a Green chrome tourmaline we have. Then maybe a stop at Madeline's booth. After that, it should be clear sailing for whatever takes my fancy.
Cheers,
Tim

No harm in looking!! That's about it for me... oh... and work!! My only purchase will be a new nitro express cartridge pouch from Dick Murray leather. Saw him at Houston SC and he had sold-out.
Dick Murray sure is one of hunting's 'gentlemen' eh?

I'm in kind of the same boat. I have a bit of a budget but my boys want me to take them spring bear hunting, and I haven't been to Africa yet. But a chance to hunt Alaska with my two sons is a thing to be treasured, so I'm working with one one of our AR members and hope to seal the deal there. I may sneak in a plains game hunt with another of our AR members since I have a business trip to Joberg in May of 2014. I'll be raiding my 401k to do the bear hunt, but if I can afford it I will.
Regards,
Chuck

Bob KeelerMike, I didn't make DSC but wish I had. I stewed some then settled on buying a life membership. So, I am now some what vested on going to another show. It will be fun. Otherwise it is SCI in Reno this year not my favorite place. Next year will be fun again as I believe it is in Las Vegas.

BlankFirst, it's a chance to see our old friends from Omujeve and talk hunting. Second, introduce Lisa to the wonders of the big show, whether it be Reno or Vegas.
Finalize the arrangements for my AR hunt with Charl Van Rooyen in RSA. Watch my hunting partner schedule their hunt for himself and 3 newbies for PG in Botswana with Kanana Safaris.
Maybe look at a 2015 retirement elephant hunt as a present to myself.

Bob KeelerSupposedly, according to my wife and the banker I'm on a very short budget this year and my instructions are to be only looking at the best rabbit hunts that are available. With my imagination and I can think pretty quick I told them if that it was I'm to do I'm looking for the ones with big teeth and big ears. God only knows how much trouble I'm going to get into?

Jeff SNBooked with Myles and Buzz last year for this September, so go down say hi and ask them roughly nine million questions and meet some great people.

DLSAlready finished my shopping for the year with the Vincents. Roy is going to talk to Alan about a cape buffalo hunt for my son and I, possibly in 2014 but definitely by 2015.

I got my order in long before you

I am booked with Alan this year, next year, and the year after.
As Walter says, we have to punish him for all the suffering him and Roy have caused poor Walter!

Yes, I know.
The first thing Roy said was that we'd have to plan it around Alan's schedule with you.

We'll probably end up doing something with him in Zim, before he heads to Tanzania. Of course, you could take me instead of Walter next time!
