Alf,
Interesting!
When i asked Norma why they are presenting loads for the .505 Gibbs in their new reloading manual i got a very strange answer, sort of:

"-It is a very interesting cartridge and there might be new demands for it and there will be a need for cases..."

As i understand it Norma will start to make brass for George Gibbs .505

ALF,

How about an e-mail address? I'll start pestering them daily from five different e-mail addresses.

Alf,

The key there is probably "real interest." I admit I bought a 9.3x62 for no reason whatsoever, and would probably buy a 404 for no reason whatsoever.

I do think the 550 Magnum action would be wasted on a 404, as in the case of the .375. It would be nice to just use the 550 action, but they may not ask me.

Will,
I I understand your post you would like to just have a 550 action, in which case you can order one from Brownells..they keep them in stock...

Ray,

Going that way I'd have $2000+ in a .404. I REALLY don't need one that bad. Maybe I'll luck out and CZ won't bring one out!

I bought a 9.3x62 for no real reason as well jut because Ray & others said it was good. I will buy a .505 for no good reason as well. I just like calibres thats all !!

I will be furstrated if they bring a .404 out because of all the expense I am going to with a 1909 mauser to have one built....I would be just as happy with your plain old cz 550.
