I'm going to South Africa for plains game and have a 375 H&H with 260 grain Nosler AB. Are they good for Wildebeast?

I would think the 260 AB would be excellent for wildebeest and anyother plains game. Members here have taken buffalo with that load.

375LVRThe 260gr accubond is a great bullet in 375 H&H. you will not be disappointed.

I used that load in Namibia 2 weeks ago. I took an eland at about 150 yds., behind the shoulder. He went about 100 yds and fell over dead. The bullet was a perfect mushroom. A kudu was hit through the shoulder at about 75 yds., ran maybe 60 yds. Bullet was found under off side skin, much more flattened than the eland bullet. These bullets should work very well for you.

L. David KeithI've used the 160 gr Accubond (280 Rem) on Wildebeest at ranges between 258 and 298 yards. No problem with performance and no follow up shots needed. Same results on similar sized PG and Leopard.

Mad Dogeyeman it will be fine, just take it and quit worrying. Hell, my son took a NEF handi rifle, 30-06, in 2008, and made 7 one shot kills with 180 gr. nosler partitions! It's where you put it, not what you put it there with!

vandyboyI used a .280 Remington with 160 grain Accubonds in Zimbabwe in 2008. Shot many Impala for Leopard bait, shot my Leopard, a trophy Impala, Bushbuck, two Baboons and my son shot two Baboons and a Kudu bull. All good clean kills. The bullet performed wonderfully.
I took an eland with the 180 gr in a 300wm, 80 yards and piled up.

what about 260 gr NOSLER PT ? dosen it preforms exactly liKe accubonds? in my 3006 both PTand accubond penetrate the same dept and rest weight is almost identical!!! any one in favor of nosler PT 260 GR IN 375?

Stephen PalosI've just used Accubonds in the field for the first time. I recovered two out of shoulder shot Gemsbuck.
The load is .308 Norma Magnum with a muzzle velocity of 2920 fps. with the 200gr bullet.
Retained weight was 68% on both (136gr) One was at 60m the other at 110m range so velocity was still high. The mushrooms were very concentric and I belive the performance to be outstanding.
A Partition will as a rule lose its entire front core and equallly as a rule retain its rear core so you have an almost 100% guarantee of about 60 to 65% weight retention. My results indicate that the Accubond equals this performance, but in a bullet with a much better balistic coeficient and probably more inherantly accurate I would summise? Maybe a bit cheaper too for what it's worth....

Tim HeraldI have shot an awful lot of elk, kudu, gemsbok, springbok, mulies, etc. with 180 gr accubonds in a .300 and absolutely love the performance. I can't imagine a 260 from a .375 wouldn't be just incredible.
I am taking a .300 with 180s to Zim in less than 2 weeks and it will be my PG and leopard gun...

CBNHNTRWe used both .308 and .300WM (150 and 180 grain )Winchster factory ammo with Nosler AB's in the Eastern Cape and had great results on impala through zebra, all one shot kills.
I use AB with a 375 h&h on kudo and warthog and both were one shot clean kills

I've never shot a wldebeest with them, but I've taken everything including kudu and gemsbok with the comparatively tiny 140 gr. AccuBond launched from a 7mm-08 and had very impressive reults. Weight retention was right at 75% on the ones recovered from the kudu and it was dead within 70 yards.

Eyeman, I have to agree with Steve on this one.
Just remember this, the Partition is a 60 year old technology, where the Accubond is modern state of the art technology.
