Just got a moment on a remote web uplink so I thought I would drop in with a very brief report. Hunting is going well despite intense heat. I will have many great stories upon return after September 9th.

As I (and others here) found out this spring, you're a joy to hunt with, Ann. I know that the PH's and staff are appreciative of your enthusiasm and determination.

I just wish that more women would try hunting. There is only one Annie of Aspen Hill, but lots of the fairer sex are missing out on great adventures because of stupid fears and/or Walt Disney. Not many folks, male or female, would be giggling at the noise a bear was making at the bait 30 yards away while you waited in the dusk for someone to pick you up in a boat... or have the experience and patience to pass up juvenile animals.. or... go from a newbie pike fisherman to a pro in just a few days.

Semper Fi Ann... and..

Let the air out of something for me!

JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

Ann, hope you are enjoying yourself. Have read your posts and just realized who you are. I remembered something about red frogs or something in your e-mail but I do not have it any longer. If your memory is sharp you will remember me as the guy that met you at the range and helped you sight in your rifle before your first african safari. I still live in Clarskston. Hope your trip goes well.

Hi All! Got hold of another PC while inbetween hunts. I just finished an awesome bow hunt and I will make you all wait for photos and stories but I will tell you I had one heck of a great birthday yesterday! Getting older isn't so bad after all.

Off to a hunting new area day after tomorrow, so tomorrow I am washing off red dust at Afton House.

BigBBear, we should meet up again!

Ron, boy are you gonna be busy..... wave

Ernest, I think the ladies are really missing out too. I always end up with really good looking guides/PH's. This trip is no exception! I tell the poor fellows they are part of my "trophy" and make them pose for a trophy shot. Sure gets a lot of blushes. Big Grin

OK, off to slay more dragons. Take care all!

Glad to hear you're having a great time - I'm jealous! Sorry the timing didn't work out to be able to meet up with you and your good looking guides/ph's. Yes, the ladies are definitely missing out.

Countdown started - 29 days until Afreekah!

Great to hear some field reports from you Ann! Can't wait to see pictures and hear the full stories! My birthday is Friday, and I'll be celebrating with a new bow myself.
