I'd love to see more pics of the taxidermy please.

Is that a stainless steel CZ rifle I see? Looks like even the crossbolts are stainless.

since you have such an abiding dislike for SCI, i more or less assumed you wouldn't waste money on attending the SCI convention. glad to see i was wrong- and you are right about the quality of exhibits improving each year.

You seem to misunderstand my comments. I don't have an abiding dislike of SCI at all and have never said I do.

However, I've repeatedly said I have problems with some aspects of SCI such as donations & ethics.

I don't have a problem with members at all and in fact, I like the vast majority I've ever met.

The shows themselves, no matter whether it's SCI, DSC or any of the others such as the Harrisburg etc are all a tremendous amount of fun and as I said, the standard of exhibition seems to get better/more impressive every year.

Now let's hope we can get back to discussing the quality of the booths and exhibits rather than turn this into yet another barney about the same old thing.

Did anyone notice any particularly great booths and did anyone notice any particularly good taxidermy?

note to cz folks who may read this: reduce the price of the LH rifles to what the RH rifles cost and you will sell your entire inventory.

I tell you what I'll do buddy. You get there and if you can find me, I'll buy the beers all evening! rotflmo

Joking aside, the conventions and the guys you'll meet up with there are a whole lot of fun..... but be prepared to spend a shit load of money!

Yeah well how can they put on such a great show without the influx of money from vendors (ie. donations, booth costs, etc) and members??

At the end of the day SCI is still just a hunting club and is the sum of its members, represented by various committees - I have friends who are working their way through the committees to bring about change... maybe others who complain could do the same??

I guess it is so much easier to sit around the camp fire complaining than to nominate for these club positions and help to bring about change.
