Don't you have to use bronze bullets on bronze elephants? Cool

Will is on a photo shoot for pictures for his next book! He's tired if big elephants and has found a herd of rare pygmy elephants!
He has commissioned Heym to build him a single trigger double rifle chambered for 17 Rem cal flanged.

I notice Will is wearing sleeves on his shirts now. Must be cold in Kansas while elephant hunting.

Now I know Will, you're just having a little fun with this. But the subject line for this post is one of those things that might be taken the wrong way by anti-hunters or non-hunters visiting this sight.

"Baby Elephant Brain Shot"

I'm just sayin'...ya know. Put yourself in the shoes of someone not like us. Is this really subject matter that's OK to laugh about?

Responsible? Respectful? Or am I being too sensitive? I know how those guys on the other side think, because I deal with them alot. I'm not trying to step on anybody's toes here. I'm just raising the issue.

I can tell you that, having had to shoot really young calves (babies) when culling in Zim that for me, shot placement was a major issue - I was always so upset at having to shoot them that small that just hitting the head was sometimes hard. Came with the territory but was always devastating.

Too sensitive? Yup, I'd say so. Roll Eyes

My view of humor is that (1) NOTHING is or ought to be out of bounds, (2) either it's funny or it's not, and it had better be funny, (3) either you "get it" or you don't, (4) if you don't, that's your problem, and there's no helping you, BTW, and please go and stand way over there away from those of us who do. Big Grin

It also can be difficult for me to shoot baby elephants. I find it helps to envision another target, like a koala bear or puppy.

This give a whole new meaning to "Shooting a 100 lb elephant". Or should we call it " How the mighty have fallen"? I'm not sure that picture is Will, he doesn't wear shirt sleeves! The shoes and the hat do look right.

OK thanks Michael and 470drshooter. Points well taken. I'm gonna shut up and butt out of this one! BTW 470drshooter, you're not far from my neck of the woods. My son had a baseball game in Chino Hills last week, and my dad lives in Glendora.

In the old days the politically correct class were called eunuchs.

Nowadays they are the intimidated, self-imposed castrated class.
