To all of you who have been very helpful in sharing informaion and living through my first Holland blowing up my sincere thanks. My second Holland Dominion is a younger girl and shoots and handles very well. I leave Monday morning for a month in Botswana with Chris Collins, hunting elephant, leopard and plains game plus bird shooting and fishing in the Delta. Ian Lewis will be going along to film it. This is truly a trip of a lifetime for me so I am slightly pupmed.

Everyone have a great spring.

A month in Botswana, an H&H by your side, big elephant and leopard and lechwe on the menu...outstanding!

Please take a lot of digital pictures too, including of the Delta, and if you need any help posting them when you get back, let me know. Have a great hunt, and don't come home early!

thought you guys might enjoy these pics taken in a photo concession that adjoined our hunting concession in the Okavango. the previous evening we photoed and videoed the pride females stalking a buff herd right at dark and came back the next morning to see what the killed. the females and cubs were feeding on the kil when we drove up. filmed them from a distance of 25 feet for 10-15 minutes when the old man showed up and chased them off. we continued filming for 30 minutes from the back of the Landcruiser as he ate his fill. it was an amazing experience to watch and hear rib bones snapping, muscles tearing from so close in an open truck!!! enjoy-

Thanks for all the good wishes, hopefully they will help us find that 80 pounder. The safari will be in the classic style with Chris going out to the area we will hunt and setting up a full tented camp just like his mentor Harry Selby used to do. Harry will join us for lunch one day as he is good friends with Chris.

Don, Chris's e-mail address is gamesaf@info.bw as you may know he sometimes does not respond very quickly, true bush baby.

Well, now he's REALLY pumped. I heard from Fred (CFA) on his sat phone from Botswana a little over an hour ago. He got a 70+ pounder this morning with his Holland .465. From the sounds of it, I don't think his feet are going to touch the ground for the rest of his safari!

Congratulations, Fred!
