Well fellas, 12 days till my second journey. I've not been to the area before, but we're about an hour from Kimberely. Any must see's? What can I expect for a good minimum for a quality water buck? Thanks....wapiti7

Kruger is not too far away for a visit. As to the waterbuck, depending on the property I would work off of 28 inches as a minimum.

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

I've hunted that area twice (near Kimberley and Douglas). A must see is the Kimberley Big Hole for sure.

Second the Big Hole, Kruger BTW is a long haul form Kimberly, at least a 8+ hour drive.

If you are thinking of getting your wife something nice, my jeweller here was very impressed by the quality of the diamonds in the earings I bought my wife and the price was a but lower than I would have spent here. The store at the big hole was the place I went.

We used spinning tackle, the water clarity was't right for flies, but Harm is a great guy and we had lots of fun.
