Would you question why we would argue over a conservation issue in Africa?

How many of us have befriended trackers or camp staff that have later died from AIDS? Many, I suspect. and people.

My guess is you should stop Fcking them Eeker

Mr. Davenport
Maybe you need to work on reading comprehension, KPete meant that we become friends with members of the staff only to later find out that the staff member has died of AIDS.

Regardless, due to your reply, you have one less potential client(me, in case you couldn't figure it out).

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Mr. Davenport: Very tasteless showing a complete lack of class. That's a poor reflection on your safari company--for you to make a remark like that.

IMHO The advert should come down. A shower, garlic and beetroot won't prevent AIDS either! Big Grin

I would have never imagined some folks would hold the "enlightened" views expressed on this thread. Frankly, makes me more than a little ashamed and embarrassed for them.

Unfortunately, those attitudes are not uncommon.I once spoke to a guy from a big name UK gun maker. He was so matter of fact about HIV being the only solution to the population problem vis a vis animal conservation. Many would be offended if someone told them that their ideas hover on the borders of racism.Strange paradoxes.

Gentlemen I sincerely hope you did not take my post as bigoted in any way. What I tried to convey was the reality of population growth and habitat encroachment with no apparent scientific controls to mitigate that expansion into the African wilderness. Accordingly, the burgeoning AIDS epidemic and the more insidious malaria infestation are the only two factors that can arrest destruction of habitat and animal populations. Cold hard facts but facts nevertheless. And BTW there is historically prcedence; the Black Plague in the 13-14th Centuries and more recently the Pandemic of 1918 and that was mostly with caucassians. jorge
