| I thought that Medjet includes a deal with Flying Doctors that would come into the closet air strip to get you. But I am not sure about this. |

| I think they have a deal with flying doctors/amref for east africa...... Or you can just sign up yourself for short or long term cover with amref..... I can't remember the exact cost but I think it's about US$50 for about 3 weeks (dependant on which cover you choose).....You can email them at flyingdocs@amref.ke.org

| Depends which country...Zimbabwe has MARS- which if you are paid up ($10 a day for short term cover) they will fly in to any strip they can get a king air or a cessna caravan into and drag you out. The planes are fully equiped and a doctor is on board. If you are not paid up, they want a US$9000 deposit, before the plane takes off.
Worth $10 a day!!!!!
MARS also operates regionally. If you get stuck email the African Hunter office - when the email starts to work again - on fishunt@zol.co.zw and ask for Cuan Alcock's email - he is the regional rep. |

| Amref then..... they offer two ranges of air cover - I believe the Selous requires the longer range and is more expensive...... I've been trying to recall the two prices and think it's about $35 for the short range cover and US$50 for the longer range...... hope that helps.

| Contact MedJet. See if your membership covers evacuation in the Selous with the Flying Doctors.
FWIW, The Flying Doctors are a top notch, professional organization. On the ball, professional and efficient. I can not say enough good about this group.
I got better care on their King Air than I did in the hospital. Of course, I was their only patient on the plane too! |
