My wife and i have decided on a leopard hunt as my 1 shot at dangerous game. Being there are so many good PH and Outfits for this type of hunt
what price range would a reputable outfit charge
for this hunt ?. i would like a range of prices as i dont want to get trapped by a cheap price lousy hunt deal. been checking and have heard
$12000 to 15000 all inclusive . is this fairly standard ? thanks

Ej, that is about the range of prices you can expect from good outfits. It is refreshing to hear a potential client seeing that the cheaper hunts are not neccicaraly better!

Those are pretty much in line what I have been finding for a bona fide leopard hunt. You are on the right track. I took the other route on my Namibian safari and booked a plains game and leopard hunt with a non leopard specialist. The cost was the same as plains game with just the added trophy fee for leopard. Big mistake. My PH had a clue about leopard hunting, but only one. Needles to say it was a waste of time.

You have not said what type of leopard hunt you are interested in. There is the traditional baited hunt allowing the leopard to be shot only in daylight, the same basic hunt but night hunting using a light is permitted. Also a dog hunt using bait and finally a tracking hunt using Bushmen.

The dog hunts are usually the cheapest with almost guaranteed results. We offer this one in Namibia with Norman Crooks. The 10 day daily cost plus leopard trophy fee is $22,000. Dip/pack is only extra. Bait animals are included.

No problem. I was just letting EJ know what his options were in general for leopards. Often a client asks me about a hunt somewhere and actually books the hunt in a different country. I never mind someone teling me I have not been specific in my post.
