What a Warthog!

This clipping caught my attention looking for something on my PC earlier today.

This warthog was shot by a cattle farmer â€“ Mike Bosch - on the farm Mantsole, near Bela Bela (Warmbaths) in the Limpopo Province some time ago. (I think 2004). The lef tusk measured 18Â¼ and the righ 17 inches. It scored 45 on SCI and ranked 4th at the time.

According to the article ...

The 1st 3 places in the SCI record book are all decades old.

First place is held by a warthog that had 19" & 18" tusks and was shot in Ethiopia in 1984 - SCI score 49.

Second place belonged to a pig scoring 46, shot in 1981 in Kenia.

Third place was shot in 1985 in South Africa, also with a score of 46.
