Anyone have a recommendation for a jeweler to make a floating bone necklace? I am thinking of using the lion and leopard floating bones along with a lions tooth.

What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Palmer - get ahold of Dick or Ann Koskovich. They are in Homer, Alaska and you can find their website at www.koskovich.com phone number is 907-235-3846.

They did my lion floating bones and a claw pendant and did absolutely superb work. They are also at the SCI show every year. Hope this helps.

You may want to look at Appleby's Animals too. They did a very nice necklace with my lion bones. I believe thier website is www.appleybysanimals.com

Can or will any of you post some photos of the same? I have a real nice set of my lion's floating bones, one in gold and one in silver and would like to see what others have actually done with theirs. Thanks in advance.

I don't have any pictures unfortunately but Dick did a custom deal for me where he took the 2 floating bones and made them into 2 separate necklaces (one for wife, one for daughter). He polished them, did gold aorund the edges and embedded a small birthstone for each of them towards the end. He balanced them perfectly so that hang straight which is also a challenge!

They came out awesome and made me very popular...

I second the review of Gregory Appleby's lion and leopard bone jewelry. He sends a CD as well as the web site for past options. He does great creative one of a kind work as well. He will be at the shows I believe again this year.

Another vote for Dick Koskovich. He's done several jobs for me with floating bones and claws and does excellent work. Good guy to work with too.

Here is a picture of the necklace Gregory Appleby did for me. It is very simply done, just incased in gold all round except on front with a black rubber necklace. I did not want something very fancy, just to show off the bones.
