Canuck,

I believe Russia is considered part of Europe, at least in schools here in the U.S. Perhaps you guys to the north use different maps. Big Grin

That said, I just reread the seeder message, and the hunt actually took place in Siberia. I believe that part of Russia on the other side of the Ural Mts. IS in Asia. -TONY

Yep...our Canuck maps say the same thing....that also accounts for the vast majority (70% or so) of the Russian land mass, and is also where 95% of the foriegn hunting in Russia takes place (east of the Urials that is).

I didn't move the thread, but I do agree it was more relevant to the Asian Hunting Forum (even though there is clearly potential ripple effects to all foreign hunting!).

Asia - wikipedia

Europe is a continent only because the western map makers of old came from there.

In reality the land mass that contains Asia and Europe should be considered one continent. The ego-centricness (is that a word?) of the Europeans made Europe it's own continent.

Larry,

Not relevant. Copter hunting is NOT illegal in NZ. See the other threads in the Asian section. -TONY

Your reasons notwithstanding, Saeed has repeatedly asked the Membership to post only topics that pertain to African Hunting in this forum.

Since Saeed is the moderator for this forum specifically, I expect he does the vast majority of the thread moving, etc.

I highly doubt Saeed has the time to read every single thread on this forum, so I would venture to guess that any "inconsistency" in what gets moved and what doesn't likely stems from that.

I wouldn't take it personally. Smiler

You call what I said a rebuke? Confused

It was just a statement of fact. If you had respected our most generous host's wishes, you would not have posted the Duncan thread here in the first place, let alone questioned the moving of an obviously off-topic thread.

George:

Why is this thread still in "African Hunting" if you want to clean the forum up?

On a similar note, shouldn't the Texas cow hunt be moved to somewhere else as it doesn't fit the criterea for this forum?

It seems like everyone and their brother starts a thread here due to the reader volume of this forum. Let's keep this forum "African" themed as our host intended.

Thanks,

RCG
