Just got word my Hill Country .416 will ship Tuesday, just in time to run it through the paces before I leave! Will let you know how it shoots. If it's anything like the HCR.375 it should be a tackdriver!

Congrats, Tim. I own two HCRs...a .300 Weatherby and a .280 and both shoot one ragged hole when I do my job. I've seen their big bore bretheren and Matt has strongly encouraged me to try one out. He swears they are every bit as accurate and I don't doubt him. On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died. Tim, Looking forward to your review of the .416. After talking with HCR I am sending them my M70 375 for a total workup. I really liked their attitude and knowledge of reworking my rifle to achieve what I wanted. Tim, I know how you feel. Matt just e-mailed to tell me that my .416 REM shipped yesterday and should be in my hands on Tuesday. Doug

I have a HCR .375 and it is one of my favorite big bores. It has a Lilja barrel and is very accurate with many different loads.
