Kathi747 IS BACK OUT OF DULLES
NEWS FROM SAADear Travel Partner,
In our efforts to provide you with the best possible product and frequencies
to South Africa, South African Airways is pleased to announce our tentative
schedule for Washington Dulles services effective July 1, 2005. These
flights will be reflected on the CRSs later this week or early next week.
The current fares for ATL and JFK are applicable to this new Washington
service.
The four times weekly service will include a brief operational fuel stop in
Accra, Ghana. Sales to Accra are not permitted as current bilateral
agreements do not make provision for that option at this time. The
additional flights to Johannesburg will mark the re-introduction of the
Boeing 747-400 to the region, as well as three cabin service featuring SAA's
First Class product.
The flight schedule is as follows:

WORLDHUNTER1Any know how easy it is to travel with guns through Dulles.
I've traveled internationally, with firearms, via Dulles Airport a bunch and so have my friends since we all live in the DC area.
I've had no problems and have never heard of anyone else having any problems.

BFaucettAs far as gun laws go, I believe Dulles is actually located in Virginia.

OldsargeNice! I can fly JetBlue from Long Beach (10 minutes from my house) to Dullas then on to Jo'Berg. Might be the cheapest flight to Africa from the West Coast available. Hope they keep it 'til July '06!

This is great news! I'd rather fly the 747 even if it means an overnight at Dulles.
Are the "add-on" fares the same? Are they using United for connections yet?
What hotels are most convenient to Dulles for a reasonable overnight?

Die Ou JagterOh My God this is the greatest news since sliced bread. I always start my trips to Africa at Dulles. I have never been hasseled about firearms. Oh Boy !
Great news....except it doesn't affect Atlanta which is where I fly from regularly.....
Say you saw it first here
