Gentlemen,
About a year ago, you both posted some pics of CZs that Roger Ferrell had reworked for you. I am thinking about having Roger do a CZ 416 Rigby. I was hoping you would post your pics again. When I run a search it will not post the pictures, just the script. Thanks. I promise not to copy your rifles too much!!! Any other other great CZ project photos would be appreciated as well.

I don't have pictures, but he (Roger) converted a LH win-70 in .30-06 to .458 Lott for me. I highly recommend him. Well worth the drive down-- and there's no one else around Atlanta that does that kind of work that I know of.

You won't be sorry.

Mike,

Very nice work! Thanks. I wonder if it is still taking CZ 8 weeks to fill orders? Thanks for the heads up. Hugh

This is my .458 Lott.

The stock was an upgraded one from CZ for which I paid an extra $400 (not a bad buy, huh?). Roger "steel bedded" and put in two recoil lugs (one with a wood plug and invisable under the checkering). It has a NEGC front sight (I'm old/blind and couldn't see the original), a barrel band, a new trigger, a three position safety. The original finish was stripped and the checkering sanded off and re-applied.

It has a 2.5 Leupold with a post recticle from Premier with Talley QD mounts. I actually shoot the rifle better with just the express sights (which, btw, have had the cheap white paint removed). Originally, the gun didn't feed well from the left side of the magazine, but Roger fixed that. I also had the bolt knob checkered to insure it didn't slip with sweaty hands.

My other "Ferrells" were made from Luxe stocks. This was an American. We desided to keep the wrist thick to help avoid cracking.

I like it. Big Grin

JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

Hugh,
I took the photos of Judge G's & Mbogo 375's rifles & forwarded the photos to them. They very generously posted them on AR. If you care to stop by you can borrow the CD.
