I'll wait and see. Maybe there is some hope.

My thoughts and prayers for all my Zimbabwean friends and their families. Once a despot is removed from power, things sometimes go from bad to worse.

I am told that all province had a "no confidence" vote. Bob lost. They say he is too old and must go. Effectively, they have recalled him.

Interestingly, it appears that both parties are working together. ZANU-PF and MDC

That will never happen.

If he was 55 years old, that we won a fair election, that had the support of the majority of his country and had a healthy economy,...then maybe (still highly doubtful) the SADF or AU would get involved. However he is a 93 year old, that has stolen the last 2 or 3 elections, that is not even close to having the support of the majority of the nation, and has destroyed the Zimbabwe economy. The SADF, AU, or UN are not invading Zimbabwe to put Bob back on the throne. Most countries in Africa have too many problems within their borders to even think about sending troops to support a dictator that has lost his country.

Questionable. A Constitution drawn up by a single individual such as the one of Zimbabwe should not even be considered as legitimate and I am surprised that the SADC, OAU and UN even sanctioned it.

Now it comes back and bites them in the ass.

Where in the world does the President appoint the Vice President as his successor. Surely the "running mate" (VP)is voted in by the public and his/her authority will always remain as VP; to hold the fort in the event of ouster or demise of the President until new elections are held to determine the successor?

Or am I wrong?
