I love Talley rings!

I've found them easy to install and they hold scopes nice and tight, and no need for lapping them, either..

Consdering the cost and trouble to get them (Talley) to you, I'd just opt for the rings that you usually like. Your money you ought to spend like you want to spend it!

I've never lapped a scope ring. I've never had an elevation problem or windage problem. Just lucky I guess?

My Whitworth has Leupy rings and bases. Mainly because it came with those bases.

You wouldn't have that problem if you own a couple of FN Whby like I do. LOL!
The Talley stuff isn't pretty, but it works for me. I could have used the Leupy stuff, but already had the bases.
I like the QD rings.

I think you ought to use what you like. It's just nice to have someone on the manufacturing end who takes care of their customers.

But what if the action is out or if the barrel does not point in the direction of the action.
