Might this lead to Win. making 404 Jeffery ammo and/or brass?

It is not exactly available just anywhere at the moment.

Maybe Rem. will beat them to it. Yeah, the .404 Remington Magnum.

That will make you 404 lovers sweat big time.

I would't be surprised if that Winchester ammo came out from a factory in Sweden. The same factory makes 9,3X62 ammo with winchester headstamp, and metric cases for winchester.



The 404 Jeffery and 416 Rigby are kings of the hill. I need one of each to feel competly comfortable



416 rem should be re-named to 416 Hoffman. Remington seems to goof up the nameing of cartridges.

It would be nice if Winchester would make the last of their Big Five series a 416 Hoffman, or a 404 Jeffery, but the most likely from the bean counters (only 125 more beans to go) is the 416 Remington. Yikes! I would rather see a 375 RUM if they are set on using a Remington cartridge in an "adorned" Winchester rifle.
