As my friends here know, I recently married a wonderful South African girl in Stellenbosch. Well, we have now relocated back to Oregon, and to my surprise, she organized a subscription to Magnum for me...

Now I will get my monthly fix of Africa when we are back here.

As for the Afrikaans articles, I had no choice but to learn Afrikaans when I met her, but I still struggle with the articles. It's great practice though..

I can also say that I'm very happy to have a reason that we "have to" return to Africa at least once a year.

Welcome back! Weather's been awfully dry this winter and I think my white water season will be very short this spring .


Personally I think that the majority of us are very lucky with the women in our lives. Thank God they have no taste...
