I'm almost out the door for my own safari but thought you'd like to see this latest lion from our Lobo concession.

The Peterson's had a great safari and once again took a tremendous bag to include:

Lion
Leopard
Zebra
Impala
Ostrich
Lesser and Greater kudu
Jackal
Coke's hartebeest
Oryx
Wildebeest
Hyena
Dik-Dik
Grant's gazelle
Eland
Buffalo
Porcupine
Honey badger

Since I personally will be in Lobo at this time next year I'm more than a little excited about the successes of our clients this year.

Mark

As always Mark, that concession provides a bountiful harvest!

Mark!

What are the current restrictions in Tanz on lion harvest age? Are they using the pink nose criteria? This lion appears to have some pink on the nose but it may be blood.

Game department restriction is 6 year minimum. They do not have a "black & white" way of determining this age, especially once the animal is dead and all they get to see is the clean skull and dried skin. Pink nose is just one of the many criteria some PH's use to determine the age.
