Have you tried the Magnolia? It's pretty nice, reasonably priced, close with shuttle service & they usually have rooms available.

I got a room for my daughter-in-law yesterday at the Aloft. It is in sight of the Omni... 400 yards?

I will no longer go, and have a room at Marriott City Center (650 North Pearl Street) not too far from there. The reservation is for Thu-Sat., but most probably they can find a room on Wed. as well.

Can't say as I blame you, but the paperwork was done in the end or on the end, depending on how you look at it.

Not sure what is worse, being stranded without toilet paper at the Aloft or waiting for the valet at the Omni. I will take my chances with the toilet paper . . . keeping the kleenex handy . . . at the Aloft this year.
