don't know the reason hunters whisper on camera after executing the shot.
I have admittedly whispered after shooting or being with hunters (not on camera) that have already shot the animal and some even after the animal was seen going down. Then asking out loudly why are we whispering? Got to chuckle at that. Or not.

Vaughn you might have nailed it. Maybe they're just doing it out of habit, not knowing the reason or even that they are whispering. I got a chuckle from what you wrote. I'd like one of them to say to the camera one time like you did, 'Hey, why are we whispering. The animal is dead.'

Watched "Tracks" today and guest hunter Steve Hornady was whispering a lot on this show while in the field. Also the audio was really bad as volume kept going up and down throughout the show for no apparent reason. Otherwise the show was great as usual.

I will defer to all experienced Africa hunters on what I say. I spent one month in the Chirisa district of Zimbabwe in May '93. I hunted buff. Frnakly, the films I have watched (on any channel) seem "fake". I mean in the whole way the PH carries his weapon and how he acts and in the way the hunter moves forward. The final "shot" is always somewhat blurred and never is the camera focused on the actual moment that the buff is hit. Frankly, it always looks like a big "brave hunter" killed this poor animal (there's always a pic of the dead buff and guys with guns over him) that all "us brave bunny huggers" want to protect. I love all animals -as do all you guys too -if you're real hunters -but how to explain to these types?

Bill,
What, then, do you watch? Wheel of Fortune?
