I was very lucky enough to run into this very old fella that was causing some probelms on the property.
It took one shot with my 375 H&H loaded with 270gr Impala mono solids.
He must have been 15 years + I think.

This is one of our new areas which hasnt been hunted at all 60km away from Botswana in south west Limpopo.
I know this sounds like a sales pitch but this is the property that has never been hunted before (untill now
) and we are advertising those cheap rates with.
PG deal with Infinito. There must be more and I have seen some very old other stuff/species with worn down horns. When walking in the veldt we come across a lot of old bones of animals that have died of old age. Previous owner was totally against hunting and rather let the animals die of hunger or predators than being hunted.

Your blue wildebeest looks like the one I was fortunate to take last year with worn horns that stuck straight out, on Okawaka, near the Waterberg Plateau Park. Willem Serfontaine, the PH and farm manager, had been after this problematic bull for over two years. Each time he had his rifle with him, he could not find the bull. When he saw the bull, he did not have a rifle.
I went out with one of his black guides. We found the bull as he was running off some black wildebeest. He immediately returned and defiantly faced us to "guard his pasture". It was an easy shot. I was amazed to find how large his body size was. He was about as big as a horse.

Safari-HuntThe trouble he was causing was fighting/chasing other animals away from a waterhole as well as having
AR issues with fences. 
He has been hunted before has he caused trouble even if the owner was anti hunting but was not anti money as he needed to fix the fence but never found I was just lucky the area which he loved to stay in was extremely thick with sickle bush. I just hunted him from above and was lucky to find him above the thick stuff early the morning.

I think that was the problem, all wildebeast are ugly, but he took it to a new level. Probably couldn't get a date to the Prom.

Judging by the spread of the horns beyond the ears, that is a good one!
But it does give you something to look forward to, which is all good!

Andrew McLarenCongratulations! What a super trophy!
Despite the few inches this one is not a "Bronze Medal" trophy. Nor is it a "Silver Medal" trophy. This one is also not "Gold Medal" class. Nor "Platinum Medal" class. This one is so good that a new element should be used for it's medal class name. I would say it is a true "Ozznium (or Ledzepplium) Medal" class trophy!
What amazes me is that I cannot see any sign of horn bone where the horns have worn off from fighting? His horns are worn to the point where one would expect them to turn, and normal blue wildebeest has bone underneath the outer keratin sheath at that point. Yet here, at least in this photo, I see no sign of bone exposed beneath the normal outer horn? Maybe a closer look at the real thing will shed some light on this?
Whatever, a fantastic trophy! Congratulations.
