FrostbitProblems with Ivory import from Bots
A colleague of mine has had problems with ivory coming into Seattle from Bots twice in the last two years.
The first time the issue was it was called "worked ivory" because he had the tusks prepped to go into bases he bought in Africa. John Jackson was able to get it cleared eventually.
This time the ivory is raw and it is being held because initially he was told it did not have a "hunting license" accompanying the Ivory ... "So how do we know it wasn't poached" ... even though all the CITES paperwork was intact. Now he is being told that the Ivory is being held "pending the import documents being verified as legal".
The hunt was with Calitz so we know it's a good outfit that knows what they are doing paperwork wise. Coppersmith is the import agent.
My colleague (who is computer challenged

) asked me to ask on here if anyone else has had any problems from Bots?
Thanks
Jim

FrostbitJust found out another shipment that did not have Ivory from Bots got held up in Seattle as well.
Let's expand the question...
Anyone have any trouble importing any type of game from Bots this year even though it was taken in 2013?
Is the problem in Bots or is it with an "anti" working for USFWS in Seattle?

The problem is not in Bots it sounds like the problem is USF&W.
I was hoping anyone who had imports from Bots in 2014 from hunts in 2013 could chime in if they had any problems.

larryshoresI had a 2013 shipment from a 2012 hunt with zero problems.
CAN'T POSSIBLY BE A TREE HUGGER IN SEATTLE

ITS A SHAME THIS HAPPENS, BE GLAD THEY DID NOT THROW YOUR CITIES PERMIT AWAY LIKE THEY ARE DOING IN ATL.
GOOD LUCK.
