On a recent trip to Kruger we spotted these boys.

The Buffalo's still a little young but that spread was a show stopper. He was part of a Bull herd of around 12 animals , all of the others older than him.

The Elephant , well , what can I say...

Both magnificent. Remember though, judging an elephant when he's walking away from you is a mistake, and you are liable to over judge him.

Nice couple of photo's.

That is a very nice Cape Buffalo. Smiler

While the elephant will be a great trophy. I just hope the poachers do not take him soon...

WOW... they are both showstoppers!

Great pohotos of fine animals.

BTW, why do we hunt? because we love the wilderness, the animals and the chase.

Why do we visit wildlife sanctuaries - same reasons, we love the wilderness, the animals and the chase - without a gun!

With a protruding tail/spine he sure looks to be an ancient old bull however, with a rear view does he have another equal tusk? Honestly who cares he's awesome regardless and that buffalo although young in the face has superior genetics!

Thanks for the inspiring pictures!

Most hunters enjoy just looking animals over whether they'll ever get to hunt them or not.
At least that's the way it seems to me.
I know I'll never get to Africa but, I sure do enjoy looking at the pics and reading the stories all you other guys share with us. That's the reason I'm on here at all.
Thanks for sharing, they look like impressive animals.

Great Pictures thanks for sharing! Question: Could you hit the Brain on that bull from that camera angle? Every time I see a picture like that, it is my first thought and then I think of Bell describing how he would run up far enough to get the bull to look back as this one is, then he would send a solid on its way.
What a small area to slip a bullet into while the animal is on the move and the shooter winded. A gift indeed to be able to do that.

Its the truth that judging an Elephant from the back could be a mistake.

On this one I suspect few people would have a problem with him....
