Can anyone tell me about the "difference" between an Eland found in Tanzania and South Africa? How are these different from the Lord Derby Eland?

The east African, or Patterson eland (shorter horns more stripes), the Livingston eland (white side stripes) and the Cape eland (no white side stripes) are the same species but different subspeices.

All three smaller than the Lord Derby eland (which is a different species), both in body size and horn length.

I have luckily taken a Cape, Livingston, and Lord Derby Eland. The pictures I have seen of the East African, which occurs in Tanzania, resembles the Livingston with prominent stripes. The Cape from South Africa and Namibia has very little if any stripes present. The Lord Derby is much more colorful with dark brown to black hair all along the neck and part of the shoulders in mature males. The Derby's horns are much longer with measurement from the mid 40s to over 50 inches.
