Been doing some range testing and the new Woodleigh 350 gr. .375 H&H PP shot just under an inch at 100 with a max load of RL-15...The 350 gr. RN shot about an inch...both accurate as heck.

That 300 gr. Northfork shot one tiny hole of .431, .334 .456, .399, .502 very round configurations. the 285 gr. N.Forks shot all groups right at one inch or under...This gun shoots North Forks better than any other bullet..

this has been my experience with Northforks in most all my guns, it is one accurate bullet...

I will be shooting Buff and stuff with the woodlieghs, Northforks, New Noslers and of course the Northfork cup points and of course the GS FN solids that I shoot in my double.

the 300 gr. Woodleigh has always shot very well in my 338 at under an inch for 3 shots...and the Woodliegh 320 is a favorite in my 9.3x62's....

There are so many new great bullets out there today, that I can't keep up...there ain't enough Buffalo and I don't have the time but I bet I get these bullets a workout...

Ray,

What is the contact info and/or web address for Northfork?

I would like to try a couple of different calibers.

How have you found their performance on game?

Thanks.

Tim

Hi Ray,

What is the head design on the Woodleigh 350 gr? Is it very long?

Thanks,

Lee Berger

Ray,
Would you mind telling us what powder charges you used with these bullets. I have a .375 that I have to start loading for soon.

Thank You,

HI,

MR. Atkinson, I would be very interested in all the bullets you mention in the 375 and how they performed. I will look forward to your up dates on this, Thanks you. Kev

TO ALL,

My results are simular to RAYS in my MOD. 70 .375 H&H with the N.F. 300 gr. softs. My load is 71.5 gr. of RL 15 for 2525 fps. WW brass, FED. Gold Medal Mag. primers.

I will be using this and the "Experimental" Cupped Tipped Solids in my 'light gun'.

Mike Brady has an ad in 'Sporting Classics' & 'Accurate Rifle' this month. The .416 target is one of mine from my Rigby. These bullets have been accurate in every gun that we have shot them in.

I will report back on the cupped solids, as Ray will, when we return. If the BUFF reports..... well, Never Mind. [Frown]

Give them a try. I feel that you won't be disapointed.

Regards,
SAM

I have not ran anything over the chronograph...

I settled on 67 grs. of IMR-4064 with the 300 gr. NorthForks and it shoots little tiny groups...one holers...1" high at 100.

I also found that my TCCI solids with 70 gts. of RL-15 shot to the same POI as the Northforks...1" high at 100.

The 285 NF with 74 grs. of RL-15 hit 3" high at 100 with the same setting...

The 350 gr. PP and RN hit dead center at 100 with a too hot load of H414, real accurate but no primers!! So now I am working up a load with H4831 for the 350 grs....66 grs of RL-15 shot dead center at 100 in an inch and velocity should be about 2400 and thats just right..I'm still playing with this one.

the 350 Woodleighs are available at Huntingtons..I also going to pop and elk and a bison this year with this big hunk..

A note of caution, start your loading process at minimum book with this big long soft bullet..My H414 load was 4 grs. below book max and I blew a primer OUT on the 3 rd shot and the first two were HOT...I quit there but got a 3/4" group.

My 2002 Tanzania Buffalo hunters will be testing all manor of new bullets, as will I...GS FN solids again; Northfork 300 and 285's; North FN and cup points; Woodleigh PP and RN...All of these bullets were graciously donated by Northfork, Woodleigh, and GS Custom...

Ray,
Thank you for the load information. I have custody of my brother's .375 while he is stationed in Hawaii and I have not done any loading for it yet. I'll heed your warnings.
