I am having my taxidermy done in Namibia and was wondering if any of you have any idea of what the shipping charges might be. The taxidermist told me that they would have the shipping agent call me when the work was done, and would not venture a guess. I am having sholder mounts done on Kudu, Eland, Impala, S-buck, Red Hartebeast, Gemsbuck, full Baboon, Zebrarug with a few skulls too. Any of you have an idea? Thanks

I had most of my work done by Wilko Pascheka at Reiser Taxidermy. I was extremely happy. My son will be using the same. There are several air cargo services which offer very competitive rates. They should be able to quote you rates which are very close to actual.

Gentlemen, I just added a picture to a thread I started a while back about my trophy shipment from Windhoek. We used Reiser for taxidermy work, International Air Cargo Services for shipping, Hunter International for stateside brokerage services. Everything went very well, as you can see in the post above. Bob, I'll see if I can dig up your email and send you the contact information for these folks. I know you're traveling to Namibia later this summer, yes? _____________________ A successful man is one who earns more money than his wife can spend.

DR-PM sent-Thanks-I leave Sept. 6th for Namibia. Cats-Thanks for the information! Why are some of you having the taxidermy done at Reiser's instead of shipping the capes and horns back here for taxidermy. I know Reiser's does quality work from the feedback here on the board, but doesn't the extra shipping costs outweigh the taxidermy savings? Curious minds want to know??? Wolfgar, it is going to cost you over $4000 if you ship it by air you are having alot of volume to package animals mounted...I am afraid my guess is low..PAHunter just was notified his 12 animals and they were skins $2,000. Definately ship by boat If you call Fauna and Flora in NYC they can give you a very good estimate of shipping charges... Mike
