Not a single US hunter on Unit 6 since 2005? LIE.
Why the silence all of a sudden? Rob Styles in business with Chiwenga on Unit 6, lets make our way to hmmm Nuanetsi. Guys who book hunters to Nuanetsi, how many operators on AR hunt Nuanetsi? Who are they really in business with on Nuanetsi? Reputable guys please provide names.

I am curious if anyone could tell me who actually owns the Nuanetsi Ranch in Zimbabwe? Not the hunting rights but the actual land?

I always thought they were one and the same. Are they not?

The last I knew...the Zim govt or government officials actually owned Nuanetsi. Billy Rautenbach and Big Five had the hunting for a while (to the best of my knowledge). I had heard Paul Smith and Billy had collaborated on farming sugarcane for a bio-fuel project there.

From hunting reports here on AR I see Chifuti is supposed to have the hunting rights.

I was just curious if the Ranch was still held by the government???

No idea. Isn't/wasn't Rautenbach on the banned list ?

No idea of the details. I am aware of at least 2 operators other than Chifuti taking clients there in the last couple of years. By all accounts, they have done a great job restoring Nuanetsi.

The search returned information about seizures and a person named Billy Rautenbauch owning the ranch and his ties to Zanu PF.

After another search it appears Rautenbauch is on the "Banned List".

For you guys who know what is going on in Zim:

Does Rautenbauch own the hunting area?

If so is he still on the banned list? He was placed there three years ago and I cannot find where he has been removed.

If the answer to the first two questions are yes, does this present any problems for US hunters? There is always alot of talk of the Lacey Act on AR would hunting this area be a violation?

I truly hope the answers are no as it seems there is some good work being done in the area. But I would also hate to see people not receive their trophies or worse.

Rautenbach does not own the hunting area and neither was it 'siezed' during the land invasions which commenced in 2000 - in actual fact, since the early 90's, Nuanetsi has belonged to DTZ (Development Trust of Zimbabwe) which Rautenbach has nothing to do with. I hope this clears it up for you.

Cheers,
Brent

Apparently the Nuanetsi Ranch is held under the entity/trust "Development Trust of Zimbabwe".

But this still begs the question...where can we find the list of the trust's grantors, trustees, and beneficiaries?

If a Lacey Act violation was alleged...it would be important information to have.

Maybe MANDLAZIM could post that information for us...to have for our decision making process???

Apparently MANDLAZIM was incorrect...according to the Ranch's attorney Derek Elliot...Nuanetsi Ranch is owned by an entity called Nuanetsi Ranch Limited but still no one will tell me who is in the entity.
