We just took this exceptional big manned Lion on the last safari which the client took on the 2nd day. Brian van Blerk was the PH and pulled off another successful safari in Lolkisale. Even though we are having an extreme drought this year, Brian has gone 100% on cats for his last 3 safaris taking 3 lions and 3 leopards. Other companies in Masailand are struggling to find a Wildebeest according to reports I see. Client ended up taking 18 trophies in 15 days and left early. Extra tough hunting this year for sure, but we are still producing our standard quality. we just have to work around the extra Masai and cattle this year.

Here are several pictures of different angles. This lion looks to be 10+ years old. You won't get much better than this for a free range lion!

Bill - I would love for the client to do a full report, but he is not an AR member. I will how ever ask him to write a full report and get permission from him to post it if possible.

Brett, ah right when you think you might have things figured you get a curve ball. Keep in mind this type of lion is exceptional and does not happen with every client. Rungwa is a great place as well for good quality lion IF you go to the right areas. Just like every else, there are great areas and there are crap areas, so it is just a matter of going to the right block and you should have a great hunt. of course you know to call me though to help you make the right choice though Wink

Bad drout. Lots of Masai with cattle have come out of Kenia into Tanzania looking for pastures and water. I guess the park and near park areas have more water and are being inindated.

Wow what a lion, congratulations to the lucky hunter!

Damn nice lion!

The drought comments don't surprise me. It seems that some of these places have all the animals move in drought conditions. It makes for really difficult hunting.

Very nice....they don't get any better than that.

Thank goodness for hunters and Safari Trackers anti-poaching program to maintain the resource.
