I was corresponding with Joe Coogan today and he mentioned that the piece on Harry Selby with an interview with Harry would be on VERSUS again. If you have not seen it you might want to put it on your calendar.

SHOWING:

Dec 14 10:30 AM EST and Dec 16 10:00 AM EST

I enjoyed the show. It looked like he was in decent health as well and I hope that continues.

I saw the show this morning and really enjoyed the conversation with Mr. Selby. It was most informative. I wish I knew what was going through his mind when Joe Coogan was showing him the synthetic Benelli R1 semi automatic with the huge Burris range finding scope. He graciously referred to it as interesting. He still looked pretty sharp shooting those doves!

Agreed LJS. That thing was an abomination and I can't imagine Selby using or endorsing it.

I was thinking the same thing. It was a pretty good show, save the ugly rifle. One of my favorite parts was seeing actual pics of Harriet Maytag! rotflmo

I looked out for it, but here in NY, the Benelli show had them hunting american bison!

Does anyone have a tape of this show I can borrow or copy?

Wonder if it will be rerun!

Please send me a PM.

Many Thanks

Hey Yall,
Newbie to the forum here and still feeling my way around, but saw this post about Harry Selby as well as saw the show on VS. channel and thought I would respond.
I'm new to the Africa hunting seen; yet another victim of Ruark, Capstick, Hunter, and Sealous. I'm sure this is cheesey to some of you, but here goes. I found Harry's daughter on the net while looking around for info on Robert Ruark. I contacted her to see if Harry would be willing to sign my copy of "Horn of the Hunter". He was and did and included a short but nice note when he returned my book.
Just thought it was a nice thing for him to do for a complete stranger in America. Maybe one day I'll get to Botswana and thank him in person.
