To Kathi and/or any other AR guests whom know about (safari travel) routes from Europe to Lusaka Zambia.

In the main travelers going from Europe to ZAMBIA seem to fly into South Africa first and then connect either to Livingstone or Lusaka ...

1) I AM VERY INTERESTED from (those in the know how) if there is an alternate route from EUROPE to LUSAKA for hunters that (DOES NOT) fly via South Africa.

I dont think there are direct flights into Livingstone from Europe BUT there will be into Lusaka

2) ALSO are there any TRIED and TRUSTED (local EUROPE travel Xperts) such as the likes of Steve Turner and of cource KATHI from the USA, whom (potential hunter clients in Europe) can contact direct to make their booking and travelling from Europe to Africa simple and as cost effective as (Kathi and Steve) do for the USA hunters

Thanking you'all in anticipation, and if any ones knows please post the routes direct and/or indirect and other relavent information

Cheers, Peter

a quick search of Orbitz.com reveals

for Livingstone the option shows a round trip flight from JoBerg to Livingstone on a code share with Kulula

for Lukasa there are a number of options out of Europe

British Air flies nonstop London to Lukasa but does not return nonstop, not sure why

KLM Amsterdam to Nairobi
Air France Paris to Nairobi
Swiss Air Zurich to Nairobi
Virgin London to Nairobi

Nairobi to Lukasa, KLM (maybe a code share?) and Kenya Air

I'm sure there are more options.

Peter,

My clients generally have flown BA from Heathrow direct to Lusaka. It's a very simple way to do that route.

Mark that is the way I've always flown to hunt in Zambia. BA from USA to Heathrow, to Lusaka, then Lusaka up to Mfuwe in the Luangwa Valley on Air Zambia. The leg from Heathrow used to stop in Harrari Zimbabwe, but now flies non-stop to Lusaka.

Odie, the return from Lusaka to London Heathrow is nonstop, too, I believe. At least that's what my itinerary for this August shows.

Last August we flew LAX to London directly to Lusaka (by passing Jo'burg is wonderful). ON the return we were scheduled to fly exactly then same...Lusaka to London to LAX....but did detour to hunt in RSA. I think there are only certain days that the direct flight work.

Shawn at Gracy handled our travel.

Hi Guys ..

Thanks for ALL the input and information ..

The ONLY or MAIN reason I mention (NOT THROUGH SA) at this time is because of the 2010 football worldcup clogging the routes into Jo.burg etc.

Normally Jo'burg is OK ... BUT with the football fans this is a short term issue, that is why I was looking at those other route options

Cheers, Peter
