I have. If my aging memory serves me correctly, I hunted there in 2009 and 2010.

I took a number of excellent animals including a 46 1/2 inch buff.

I tried for leopard there in 2009. I failed. There are plenty of leopards there. One of the issues was that it was so HOT. Baits did not last long. 3 days max.

Would I go again? Absolutely. I do not think that I would try it again on October. In 2009, it was brutally hot.

ARDA I think its small area ? It get hot later, so July/Aug would be my option

Just looking at the reports so would ZH other area Sango be a cat heaven! But that area is another price and probably fully booked.

Was there almost exactly 2 years ago. We had a leopard coughing every night just down the river from our camp. Never saw one but was not hunting them either.
Like has was mentioned, some exceptional buffalo in there. I shot a real nice deep drop old 40" bull the second day and over the course of a 10 day hunt saw 6 larger. 3 WAY larger. Mature bulls! Saw 2 old bulls with there horns broken off. I know some consider them great trophies.

I hunted right next door, on Hammond, in May. The only thing separating Hammond & ARDA is a dirt road. Fantastic buffalo area! Tons of buffalo and elephants, good quality.

I was hunting a non-trophy, non-export buffalo and shot a very old bull that was exactly what I wanted. My 81 year old friend shot a 42” bull that carried 16” bosses. I’d love to go back there again.

What does a non-trophy non-exportable Bull consist of ??? and is the tag less than a exportable Bull

The Savé holds a lot of buffalo and some (most?) of the properties have quota for trophy buffalo and also non-trophy/non-export buffalo. Basically, a non-trophy buffalo is one with a narrow spread, less than 35-36” and which carries that genetic trait so is good to remove from the population. Non-export simply refers to the fact you can’t take any part of the buffalo home. Trophy fee is somewhat lower as well. There are a lot of buffalo running around the Savé that fit this category.

Here’s a good example of a non-trophy buffalo, spread about 33”, bosses broken and not large to begin with, basically an old, worn down bull that never was big; but provided a very enjoyable hunt nonetheless. All I brought home is memories and pictures.

That's perfect. I've got several that I've not exported yet and may not in the future. I'm all about the hunt now days and less about bringing anything home.
