I usually take one or two bank bags (soft zipped pouches)with me when I travel to Africa. I keep my traveler's checks, airline tickets, receipts, cash, passports, Custom 4457 Forms, extra reading glasses, pens, etc. etc. in them and put them in my carry-on. This way I know where everything like that is. Well, I just found one even better at Home Depot. It's made by Husky and it is called the Holdalls Organizer. It is very pricey though, costing a whole $2.37. (My bank was charging me $5 per bag) It is also a bit bigger than the bank pouches that I have used. It also has a divider in it and a place for your business card or other card on the outside. It is superior to any of the soft bank pouches that I have used in the past. If you want something useful to carry all of your valuables in, in your carry-on, pick one or two up. It is black, made of SpunTuff Water resistant material, with a heavy duty zipper, and has a three year limited warranty(as if you need it for a mere $2.37).

That does look handy. Thanks for the tip.

Hopefully Terry will feel this is worthy to transfer to his tips/packing list, or that area as an additional sticky. Smiler

In my Home Depot it was up near the check out counters, close to the exit doors. I would just let one of the Home Depot employees know what you are looking for and have them tell you where to find it. Oh yeah, it's a great place for putting the keys to your gun cases in as well, so you don't lose the only key that you might have with you.

Surely I am not the only one to have used Zip-Loc bags for this.

Smiler Of course not.

I am a backpacker...just about everything I carry ends up in a ziploc, if it can fit.

BUT, surely you can see that for less than three bucks, this nifty item will outlast 50 bucks worth of ziplocs, and is way more functional to boot.

I am sold....but I'll still be using ziplocs for backpacking. Smiler

Cheers,
Canuck

I picked up mine today. Too bad they dont make one with a see through on the other side.

I still cant believe the airlines are charging $2.00 a peice for a ziploc bag.

My Boyt Harness gloves came in a plastic zip bag that made one trip...but not as sturdy by far I am sure.
