Yes, we did.

It takes great photos, and video as well.

But, it has a number of shortcomings which I was not happy about.

It is a bit slow if you want to take several photos in succession.

Sony seems to have set their cameras that one cannot do certain things with the camera set on certain settings - using the flash in certain situations is very strange.

Photos taken at the highest zoom were rather soft.

I like using a bridge camera like the HX300 quite a lot.

But, after having been using the Panasonic FZ200, nothing really comes even close to it in performance.

Don't let me put you off by this, as the camera is great, and I am sure you will be happy with it.

My criteria is to compare it with the best there is.
