Anyone heard of Nyerezi Safaris, Hammond Ranch?
I just received a quote for a buffalo hunt at $1440 per day, plus $250 a day PH fee, at a trophy fee of $5000.
Any of the AR group hunted with them?
Cal

So the daily rate doesn't include the PH fee? That's a first. So about $17,000 BEFORE TAXES, TRANSFERS, ETC for 7days. Damn, the hunting better be super....

What I found:

Hammond Ranch is situated in the Save Valley Conservancy in Zimbabwe’s South East Lowveld. It is a privately owned 32000 acre property with a wild and diverse landscape featuring open savannah grasslands, jutting granite kopjies and lush riverine.

About 55km outside Chiredzi in the Save` Valley Conservancy.
Hammond Ranch in the first property in the south entrance.
Close to Gonarezhou National Park - Day trip can be done to Tjolotjo Cliffs.

Hi Cal

We hunted there for 2 years- It is excellent for buff. The $1450/day is supposed to include the Ph. It is still hell of expensive and a reason that we have held back this year. It a great camp and lots of buffalo but like even where in the Save it is tame and easy hunting. You will though have a great buff hunt but at an expense!

No place in Africa is that a price worth even considering, regardless of trophy buffalo quality! I don't care if I was a millionaire, I would not pay that price to hunt cape buffalo. thumbdown old
